Ethnographic Survey
Plans are underway at CCFN to conduct an Ethnographic Project on consumer knowledge, attitudes and behavior on food and nutrition. We assembled our Expert Advisory Committee. We will be in the field in June and present the findings at our AGM October 22, 2010.

AGM Forum & Web-cast

The Canadian Council of Food and Nutrition hosted the AGM and web-cast “Think Tank: Are Nutrition Claims the Answer to Point-of-Purchase Programs?” held October 26, 2007.

Submission on Health Claims
CCFN participated in Health Canada's consultation process on Health Claims in 2007 and 2008 details are available to members.

Submission on Food Product Labels
CCFN provided a submission to the House of Commons Committee on Health on Childhood Obesity on the food product label in March 2007.

Food Information Organization Invitations to Present
CCFN was invited to present at the 1st World Congress of Public Health Nutrition September, 2006 with the International Food Information Council (IFIC), the European Food Information Council (EUFIC) and the Asia Food Information Council (AFIC). We submitted a summary for the conference proceedings. Click here to view it. Coordinated by CCFN; four Food Information Organizations (FIO’s) (AFIC-Asia, CCFN-Canada, EUFIC-Europe, and IFIC-USA) conducted a web-cast panel presentation with a question period.
