The Canadian Council of Food and Nutrition conducted a policy scan on obesity in 2005 and held our first AGM forum on obesity called “New Direction in Policy in Canada”. The summary report is available by visiting our Events Section for more details.
In 2006 we focused our attention on school food and nutrition policies through the Think Tank on School Nutrition and Activity. Click here to view details of this event.

Kellogg Canada sponsored an information insert in the Dietitians of Canada Journal which appeared in the Spring 2007 edition on How Children Formulate Eating Behaviors.
On June 15, 2006, CCFN was invited to present to the House of Commons Committee on Health on Childhood Obesity. This topic is now a chosen priority of study. CCFN commissioned Dr. Linda McCargar to complete a paper and Watching Brief on this important topic. Cara Rosenbloom developed the Current Perspective Fact Sheet on this as well. These details were highlighted during our web-cast held May 28, 2008.
