  • Tracking Nutrition Trends (TNT) is the longest running food and nutrition tracking survey around with the first one conducted in 1989.
  • CCFN collaborated with Dr. Anna Farmer from the University of Alberta on research on consumers and sodium. These findings were presented at our web-cast.
  • CCFN is the only multi-sectoral evidence-based organization in Canada.
  • CCFN’s CEO is a member of Health Canada’s Working Group on Sodium and is a member of the new Food Regulatory Advisory Committee. She was invited to present to the House of Commons Committee on Health on Childhood Obesity. She was also a member of the Trans Fat Task Force.
  • CCFN came into existence from a merger of the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) which was in existence for over 25 years and the Canadian Food Information Council (CFIC) which was in existence for over 5 years.
