  • CCFN launched the Tracking Nutrition Trends 20 Year History report October 30, 2009. For details click here.
  • Tracking Nutrition Trends (TNT) is the longest running food and nutrition tracking survey around with the first one conducted in 1989.
  • CCFN is working with Dr. Anna Farmer from the University of Alberta conducting research on consumers and sodium. These findings will be presented at our web-cast.
  • CCFN is the only multi-sectoral evidence-based organization in Canada.
  • CCFN’s CEO was a member of the Trans Fat Task Force and is a member of Health Canada’s Working Group on Sodium. She was invited to present to the House of Commons Committee on Health on Childhood Obesity.
  • CCFN came into existence from a merger of the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) which was in existence for over 25 years and the Canadian Food Information Council (CFIC) which was in existence for over 5 years.
